Resource Recovery was established as a unique business opportunity which has produced a project utilizing renewable resources to create energy. The project encompasses 5,758 total acres north of Interstate Route 80 in Rush Township and Snow Shoe Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.

An overview of the project focuses on the production of fuel-grade ethanol by utilizing municipal solid waste. The project also features the exploration of natural gas in the Marcellus Shale; a water treatment facility that recycles water from gas well fracturing, as well as a quarry facility for the production of crushed stone for use in construction projects and roadways. Assisting in this project will be the rehabilitation of a 113 year-old railroad line that will transport waste material to the ethanol facility. This will decrease the carbon output from truck deliveries. As you can see, there are several important and beneficial aspects of this project that will make Resource Recovery a leader in resource management.
